Riberalta

Riberalta sits at the junction of the Cerrado region and Amazonian rainforest on the east bank of the Beni River, an avifaunal crossroads that adds many Amazonian species to the list. We base here for two nights, searching short-stature woodland for the very localised endemic Masked Antpitta and a superb area of cerrado east of town that could still turn up surprises.
